The deck takes advantage of Sauron's numerous powerful abilities to Amass Orcs, use the Ring Tempts You Mechanic, and his card draw engine.

This is combined with a multitude of creatures and spells that will Amass Orcs or Amass to build a massive army. Cards like Saruman, the White Hand, Sauron, Lord of the Rings, Corsairs of Umbar, and your many other spells with Amass effects will contribute to making your orc army massive. The deck then features a number of creatures that can protect your army or make it evasive including Wonder, Saruman, Lazotep Plating, Book of Mazaburbul, etc.
